Why I Slowed Down — and Why That Matters in Health

We have an unprecedented potential third winter storm approaching our area. Since I’ve been preparing for the last few weeks and there’s nothing left to do but wait and see what happens, I thought I’d take a moment to pause — and talk.
I’ve definitely slowed down on my posting.
Not because I didn’t have anything to say, but because I was paying closer attention.
I was surveying the landscape of holistic health on social media, and at a certain point, posting just to post no longer felt honest. Twenty-second reels can’t possibly hold conversations that deserve depth, nuance, and time.
I’m not interested in creating content that simply stops the scroll. That isn’t what health and wellness is about.
Health Isn’t a Trend — It’s a Process
Reclaiming your health doesn’t come from chasing the latest dietary trend or following the crowd into the newest eating style. It comes from thoughtful reflection, asking better questions, and having real conversations with real people. So I slowed down.
I took time to reflect on how I got here — to clarify how I think, not just what I’ve been taught. I spent time considering what questions actually matter when trying to get to the root of health challenges, what kinds of conversations truly move someone forward, and most importantly, who I’m here to serve.
For those of you who’ve chosen to follow — thank you. I hope this shift feels clear, and maybe even encourages you to ask deeper questions of yourself… or, if it feels right, to reach out for guidance.
Less 12-second cryptic messages. Less convincing. More perspective. More curiosity.
If you’re someone who values nuance, reflection, and thinking beyond the surface — you’ll probably feel at home here. If not, that’s okay too.
